4 Things to Consider About Senior Living on the Northshore

We do have a couple of different senior living choices available at The Windsor. Chiefly, these are the Independent Living and Assisted Living options. 

Independent Living 

Independent Living is for seniors who can largely still live independently. They are able to drive and require little assistance, they are just looking for a more carefree lifestyle, which we can certainly provide at The Windsor.

Independent living residents are provided two meals a day, 365 days a year. They also benefit from some light housekeeping services. And they’re provided with transportation to and from doctor’s appointments, local activities, and outings. We have six floor plans available for these apartments with Studio, 1 Bedroom, and 2 Bedroom options. 

Assisted Living

Assisted Living residents need a little more care and attention. We’ve got a few different packages that highlight the different care services that are available, but we can also create custom packages to meet your needs. You can choose services a la carte from the following list: 

  • Medication Reminders
  • Meal Delivery
  • Bathing Assistance
  • Dressing Assistance

We go above and beyond to help our residents live private and secure lives. It’s also important to us that these residents don’t feel isolated in any way. That’s why assisted living and independent living residents are on the same floors as each other. So each resident can feel that they are part of one community. 

Assisted Living apartments come in six different floor plans with Studio, 1 Bedroom, and 2 Bedroom options. Additionally, we recently remodeled nine senior living apartments on the Northshore. These are convenient options for New Orleans or the Florida Parishes areas if family members want to be able to visit.

Activities for Residents 

We know that creating a community for our residents is one of our most important responsibilities. And we take that to heart. To that end, we have a planned calendar of events that can keep even the most agile and active residents busy and healthy.
